A Bit About Me

Donnell Cook, DBA OthaWordz, is one of the most diverse Producers currently in the game today. Born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Fort Worth he has made a name for himself via his quality production and eclectic ears. OthaWordz lists some of his influences as being: Dr.Dre, DJ Quick, Havoc, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Nas, Jay-Z and Wu-Tang. OthaWordz has also been playing drums since the age of 13. He was involved in all band activities. His Mother played the drums, his Father played the Organ and his brother, Nuwamba, is also a Singer and recording artist. It is easy to hear that OthaWordz comes from a musical background and family and continues to push forth that tradition with his Children. OthaWordz joined GLOAT in the summer of 2017 as the core producer for the label. Mr.Cook is truly a Universal Producer and hopes to one day have a Grammy on his shelf. Aside from production, Wordz also has skills on the Microphone. He has opened for: Monica, 69 Boyz, Organized Konfusion, Busta Rhymes, Common, The Alcoholiks, Too Short and Raekwon.
